Bought house last year, Bromwell had installed gas fireplace prior to our purchase. Unit had strong cold air draft blowing out of it and wouldn't start. They said they were too busy with new installations to service it, highly recommended a team they work with called Amcraft or something (can't find them listed). They showed up but ignored my complaints about draft, said stoves just do that and I should run it all the time in the winter. Got it working by installing a new remote IR module with a battery pack and remote. However, after they left, I looked and realized they were just AA batteries and that's probably all that was needed...guy never tried new batteries in the old unit, he just went right to all new parts...and he took the old remote (identical) and battery pack with him, so I couldn't compare. He also started the pilot light on stove upstairs..but no cleaning, no inspection, he was out in 30 minutes. Charged us almost $400...parts on Amazon were about $110, so not only unneeded but also over priced. I do not recommend, the comments about "shady" seem to apply.
