We had installed a new A/C unit installed for $6,800 and another quote came in from a top rated contractor for almost the same amount. The installation was completed in less than a day and the installer(s) did fantastic work. We use Pope for our annual servicing and yes I think it is worth it to do.

WARNING -- EXTREME MARK-UPS on parts in addition to high after-hours-call-surcharge!!! OK, a $175 surcharge for a Sunday service call, we can deal with. We had to do that. However, with two external parts replaced, a capacitor and a Jerry-rigged inexact replacement igniter, for a parts total of $524, this total invoice charge of over $699 is outrageous for a less-than-one-hour service call. These two parts items can be purchased locally for less than $30, or ON-LINE for less than $13. That's almost 17 and 1/2 times local retail -- over 1700 % mark-up! A one-star rating is too good.

Not the best heating/AC service and the skillsets of their techs range from inadequate to great. You never know which you'll get. Would not recommend for system installation based on personal experience. Good for maintenance.
