We brought in Home Health Options Group to care for my grandmother while my mother (Caretaker) was away out of state. They primarily covered nights as she was up a number of times to the bathroom, and we wanted to make sure that she had a trained caregiver with her at all times. Pat stayed awake at her side throughout the night. It was a great piece of mind having someone there because we wouldn't be able to cover all day and all night affectively. The services were fairly priced, with respect that these services are not inexpensive. It was well worth it for her safety. I liked that we had only 2 caregivers the whole time, over 15 days. With my father-in-law's care a few years back, we saw 5 different caregivers in that same time. I wish we knew about this company then.

I cannot say enough good things about Home Health Options and the care they provided us during a very difficult time. My husband had a traumatic brain injury which resulted in severe dementia. Upon his release from the hospital we had employed another home health company for several weeks that did not work out. After consulting Consumer Checkbook, I gave Home Health Options a call. Dan, the owner, was extremely candid and helpful. He and Debbie, the RN who came out to the house beforehand, did a very thorough assessment of our needs. These needs were totally met and exceeded. We had to have somebody awake and available to take care of my husband’s overnight needs. There were two ladies who came, one four nights a week and one three nights a week. These ladies were always attentive to my husband’s needs in a deeply caring and responsive manner. There are no words to express how wonderful they were. Eventually he had to be placed in a memory care facility. For the first few weeks, the same ladies went with him, even adjusting their hours to better fit in with the schedule of the facility. This helped ease the transition for my husband. During this period I received an update every morning from Dan. He also was a wealth of information on other topics related to aging and dementia. Our family was suddenly thrust into a situation that we had no experience with and we felt like we had a much needed partner with Home Health Options. I highly recommend them and have told my family that if I should ever need such care, I want Home Health Options.

I had to quickly arrange care for my mother in law who was in home hospice after my Dad, who was taking care of her, experienced an acute medical crisis that left him unable to take care of her at night. I needed to have someone immediately after her visiting out of state daughter was returning home in two days. I called HHOG based on the Checkbook reviews. Dan called me back right away and arranged for the nurse Debbie and the aide to come out the next day to meet us. The aide started the night the daughter left. All of them were responsive, caring and compassionate. Both Dan and Debbie were available whenever I needed help or had questions. In the short 15 days the aide developed a rapport with my mother in law who looked forward to the aide coming every night. I am so grateful they made my mother in law’s last days peaceful. I highly recommend them.
