The first time we used Merrifield for design services we ended up going to the the director to complete a $15K job. We have been quite satisfied with the work and contacted Merrifield for a second job to deal with lingering ground water control issues. The designer took weeks to schedule a visit during which she complained about only getting water problem projects. She wanted a project dealing with "pretty plants". She tooks notes and promised to provide a design after she returned from a trip. She never contacted us again even after repeated attempts to contact her. Apparently, Merrifield isn't interested in solving problem, just selling "pretty plants"

As with most landscapers, they want to plant too many plants too close together. Other than that everything went smoothly. Very capable of large jobs or small. Extensive knowledge of plants trees,and drainage. We had to have a drawing of plants and design of work to be performed on our house. Extra charge but for detailed drawing but our HOA it required it for approval. Used Merrifield for all of our plants, supplies and advice at the garden center. Truly a well rounded company.
