This firm installed masonry stairs to my front porch, and also repaired two sets of flagstone stairs. Additionally a threshold to my front door was repaired. Rui was excellent to work with. Would use again. Pricing was comparable to other firm estimates.

Bright replaced an asphalt driveway, replaced a front walk in brick-edged concrete, and a brick porch (both 60-year-old originals), repainted and reset the wrought iron porch railings, relaid a mortarless brick patio and extended the same to the driveway. Although I'm no expert, the work seems to be of excellent quality, and at a reasonable price. They did a detailed estimate and charged extra only for reinforcing two porch supports that had rotted on the patio. The crews spoke little English, the foreman rarely was present, and the office staff was spotty, so I'd lower their rating for communication. The only real issue was that we were unprepared for the level of detail required for the bricks: what color and how they were laid (running bond, etc.). We just assumed the replacements would be the same as the originals, but they used different color combinations and laid them in a different pattern. Luckily we are not displeased with the results.

Recently, my wife and I had some masonry work done on our house (reconstructing a retaining wall) by one of Bright Masonry's teams. In short, the quality of work was poor. It's unfortunate, because the estimator and I both had the same vision as to how it would turn out. But, the team probably didn't. Because, when it was "done," it looked pretty bad (e.g., it was uneven - it sloped downhill, the cement was a different color than the pre-existing material, and other less important issues). In addition, it tooks months of them returning to "try" and fix the issue. Of course, this involved an employee who just did what was necessary to "finish" the job and leave. Each time, with slightly more effort. A headache and mess...

In fairness, they were the cheapest of the estimates that we received for the project (hence, why we went with them). But, my wife reminds me all the time that "you get what you pay for."

For future projects, we will go with someone else...
