I hired McCarthy as the contractor to install a water heater purchased through Lowe's. Because it was a (near) emergency with the old one flooding the basement, two other contractors tried to pressure me into quickly buying much more expensive ones. But McCarthy was honest, quick and got the job done with excellent service at a reasonable price.

Called them for an emergency service over 4th of July weekend. The repairman kept listing more and more things wrong with my AC unit, ultimately suggesting that I replace the 8 year old unit. Gave me an absolutely ridiculous estimate to replace the capacitor, $2500. I do not recommend McCarthy, the upselling, the blatant dishonesty. They were horrible. It took a week for my regular folks to come out but they fixed the unit for a little over $300.
