Donmar installed two new a/c systems in June 2025. There were a lot of issues because I have an older house with access and wiring issues. Several other companies wouldn’t bid on the whole job because of the complexities. It was an unusually hot period during the week of the installation. As the crew began the job they discovered the wiring needed to be upgraded to 220 volts. Donmar did the rewiring themselves but that slowed down the crew. Donmar added a crew member to speed up the job despite being swamped with service requests. They finished a difficult job and stayed on budget. I highly recommend them.

I was impressed with the quality of work, responses to my questions, and doing a bit extra by installing a part to a humidifier. The two man crew worked well together. I always suggest getting three estimates for any home project to ensure the prices are in line with services and products needed. And, of course, be sure to consult Consumers' Checkbook for contractors’ reputations and other general information as your first level of research for any project that’s not DIY. Also ask neighbors and friends for their recommendations for local contractors/vendors.
