I used this company for many years, but under the new ownership, I found this company no longer has any integrity. It is impossible to have faith in them when they “diagnose” a problem - where the solution often involves over-selling and ridiculously inflated prices on the items sold (which I learned too late after I checked). After they walk away, you may have a functioning system, but the new owner is certain to have well-lined his pockets in the process. The best analogy I can think of is that it’s like going to the dentist and being told you need an expensive crown when a filling was all that’s really needed. The high quality rating that is still shown on Checkbook is most decidedly a statistical legacy remnant and is no longer deserved. Avoid them. You have better choices elsewhere.

Totally inadequate installation of a new AC unit. I had to hire another firm to install the unit correctly. Firm is under new ownership (in the last two years). Do not employ this firm!

I have been a customer of this company for over twenty years.Last year the son of the founder sold to an investor and retired for medical reasons. Many of the techs left. I had an A/C replacement scheduled. The new owner did not honor the price and the job was poorly done ( it was done by a subcontractor) and I had to find problems and have them back a few times to do it right After that I had a problem with a sticking zone valve for my heat. They estimated $1200 to replace the whole valve assembly. A big job. I pointed out that the valve was ok but the motor was the problem and they insisted on “ doing it right”.one of their techs agreed with me. I even asked them to do the motor replacement and agreed that if it didn’t fix the problem I’d have them replace the whole thing. They refused. I got the $80 motor and put it in, a one hour job because I had never done it. It fixed the problem. In short under the new owner the prices have gone up and their work is questionable. I no longer use them. I have heard similar stories from friends who had used the longer than I had. Beware
