I have never owned a gas burning fireplace before and needed help, not only to service & clean the fireplace, but to start the fireplace pilot light again. But most of all I needed complete instructions on how to operate a gas fireplace! The service man John was on time, very efficient, placed mats all over the floor, cleaned the fireplace and adjusted & cleaned the pilot light to get it working again. After the service was completed, he then sat with me to give me detailed instructions on how to restart the pilot light and operate the gas fireplace. I highly recommend the Nicholas Chimney Stove & Fire Place Company. Excellent service and repairs, very reasonable charge! Raymond K.

Although I rated the provider as superior on craftsmanship and product knowledge, the extreme communication lags wound up requiring nearly four months to have our non-working fireplace removed and a new one installed, and at the end we had to bring in a new contractor to finish the project. Numerous messages went unanswered and these communication issues overshadowed the knowledge and craftsmanship of the company owner, who seemed quite overextended given that he was handling everything from scheduling to product purchasing to installation himself, despite having a small team as well.
