The selection is not very wide, but if you find something that works for you, the quality and price cannot be beat. A pair of glasses + sunglasses with all the bells and whistles (progressive lenses, auto dimming, non-reflective) costs less than glasses-only at my optometrist's office (*after* the vision plan). Really appreciate the advisor suggesting I not cheap out on progressive lenses for the sunglasses - they're very nice. I appreciated that the advisor recommended I get progressive for the sunglasses as well - it's been very helpful.

We had never used Costco optometry services before but with the high price of glasses these days and the sale prices that are often in effect, we decided to give them a try. Both my wife and I were pleasantly surprised. The eyeglass frame selection is not huge but it is certainly extensive; both my wife and I were able to find frames that looked nice and fit us. We had been going to private optometrists but we were surprised to find that the people who work at Costco are just as nice, knowledgeable, and professional. We felt confident they knew what they were doing and had our best interests in mind. After we ordered our glasses, we received them in less than two weeks, which is very fast. The only "downside" to ordering glasses from Costco is that you have to take a number and wait in line to get someone to help you; to work around this, we always go when they first open up in the morning. The other thing is that they don't process Kaiser claims, so we had to fill out a reimbursement form with Kaiser and receive payment from them. Other than that, we are totally happy with our purchases and will go to Costco again when we need new glasses.

Staff is so knowledgeable !! They suggested inclusion of a progressive prescription r just for computer work and sewing in addition to my regular prescription. Invaluable to have this pair for prolonged work! I would never have thought of it on my own. Also staff have a " good eye" for frames that are flattering, it is very helpful to get their opinion!
