Custom Paving (WA License no. CUSTOP*907PK, SMITH, LEVI R JR, owner, 5806 Grove St , MARYSVILLE, WA 98270 ,425-322-8792 per https://secure.lni.wa.gov/verify, though has/had a Lake Stevens address also) asphalted my elderly neighbor's driveway in the past year, and in my view, took advantage of him by charging about $7000. His driveway has a total area of approximately 868 sq. ft. The asphalt was placed on top of cracked concrete and existing gravel -- little preparatory work was done by Custom Paving before the asphalt was laid down. The price charged my neighbor, in my view, was at least 3 times what it should have been. Custom Paving wanted nearly an additional $1000 for sealing the driveway, according to my neighbor. Based on this information, it is my opinion that Custom Paving (Snohomish, WA and/or Marysville, WA) is unscrupulous and should be avoided.
