My experience with Bernie’s on Leary this morning was less than satisfactory. In my personal opinion it only warrants one star for its lack of transparency and integrity in their business dealings. I had scheduled an appointment to have a catalytic converter shield installed on my car. Throughout the scheduling conversation I was quoted a price and timeframe for the installation and I reiterated the cost several times throughout the call to make sure my understanding was correct. However, when I arrived for the installation, suddenly the price increased another $300-400. A bit of a “bait & switch”. I was told that I needed to bring in the part, which seemed like an unreasonable request and expectation, since that was never brought up at any point in the scheduling conversation. I don’t feel that it is a normal expectation for a customer to assume they need to provide their own parts for repairs, maintenance or installation unless it is brought to their attention prior to arriving for their scheduled appointment. This was my first experience in working with Bernie’s on Leary and it will be my last.

Really great staff, super upfront about the cost and necessity of everything. I've never felt like they were trying to convince me to do work that wasn't necessary, or otherwise take me for a ride.
