Recommended with caveats: The carpentry work (steps and railing) was adequate (used very good materials, but workmanship was hasty and some of the work looked it). The painting was sloppy and I ended up doing most of the surface preparation and had to touch up most of his work.

Doug was very upfront and reasonable about cost. He repaired the dry rot around the back door, installed the new door and replaced the bad cedar siding. He also knows his limitations as a one - man crew and deferred another repair to a construction crew. He cleaned up the mess well. I may have a deck project for him next year.
