RESULTS: Sheetrock survived. Brick damage not noticeable. Floor clean. Plastic was put up to isolate area of work from rest of house. Courteous workers. Quick job completion.
NOTES: PH&D is licensed and insured. Its pricing pretty much lines up with the others with similar qualifications. I could have gotten someone at a cheaper rate without license or insurance but PH&D also had experience with the elements of the project (i.e. they knew the issues and explained what was the downside) and were readily available -- I wanted someone who was experienced with the work, producing good results, accepting that the cost wasn't going to be the cheapest.)
