Dale Hardware is no longer the great hardware store it used to be. Customer service has drastically suffered while prices are the highest in the TriCity area as it progresses to be run by an LLC after being recently sold. Two recent issues: - Went there to purchase a strawberry 6 pack. It had only one with missing plants and 2 in poor condition with some yellow leaves. Asked employed in dept. for discount. Offered me $1 dollar off which was less than the cost of 1 plant at $7 for the 6 pack. When I raised concern, she indicated she could return it to vendor for full price. I declined and went to Home Depot. Purchase 6 large plants in great condition in a half gallon pot for $5.50. - Ordered drip connectors on Ace.com for delivery that cost over $60. According to the website they were in stock. I got a message the next day that one of the items that I needed to fix a leaky drip tubing was short in stock (they had 6 of 15) so no delivery would be made until a new shipment came in which would be next week when the order could be completed. So now I am stuck with leaking tubing and wasting water till at least next week as Dale is the only source for the style, I need that is local. Initially on the website the price for one of the items was $1.69. But when I placed the order, the price had changed to $2.19. So, from this point on, unless it is something unique that is unavailable locally elsewhere, Dale Hardware is now dead to me.

The quality at this store is great and the variety too. Most products bought from here are reliable and long lasting.
