The following highlights our experience purchasing vinyl sheet flooring and having installed by Lowe's. This job took:
**8 months from start to finish;
**5 months, 3 weeks, and 8 days to complete the installation;
**Over 60 emails between us and the store, Customer Care, Service Pros, and Central Production;
**4+ trips to the store;
**the involvement of 30+ people (sales, delivery, install, service, management, etc.);
**17 appointments with a service person (i.e., deliverer, installers, plumbers, inspector) to come to (and disrupt) our home;
**60+ phone calls between all the "players";
**over 4 hours waiting on hold -- or disconnected -- calling Lowe's (i.e., the store, Customer Care, and the Central Production Office);
**$?788?.00 out-of-pocket to cap/reconnect the gas stove and reinstall the powder room toilet. (Finally reimbursed after 6 months of promises by Lowe's reps.)
**Zero compensation for the inconvenience and disruption caused by Lowe's.
This has been an inexcusable service disaster. Despite many years as "big ticket" customers, we will never shop at Lowe's again.
