Delbe is the greatest company you have never heard of. It has saved me tens of thousands of dollars, and hundreds of hours, over the last two decades. Dewayne, the owner, has personally managed more than two dozen major projects at our home, including installing fences, building a sunroom, replacing hot water heaters, and replacing our roof. Right now he is managing a six-figure project to put a beautiful new front porch on our home. He manages every project from start to finish. An important thing to know about Delbe is that Dewayne has working relationships with hundreds of contractors in the DC area and acts as the intermediary between us and them. If you want to build a porch (for example) he gets multiple bids on your job, negotiates the best deal for you, and then manages the construction process in a way that we probably can't because we don't have the same level of expertise or the time. Also, because Dewayne is an important source of business for so many contractors, he has leverage over them in ways that we as individual consumers never can. I have literally referred more than thirty friends and colleagues to Delbe over the last two decades. I am still thankful to the friend who introduced me to Dewayne back in 2001. (Thanks, Steve!) Delbe is highly competent with projects both large and small. Dewayne is the guy I call when my air conditioner breaks down in the summer because he can get an HVAC company out quickly and reasonably. Delbe even has an optional "key service" through which you can authorize Dewayne to meet contractors or manage projects at your house, or just have them check on your home, when you’re away. The first project I ever did with Delbe was the replacement of our roof. Dewayne supervised the entire project while we were on vacation. Delbe is an experienced general contractor as well as a referral and project management service wrapped into one awesome bundle. I give it my highest rating without hesitation.

Delbe has been my lifeline, especially since my companion died. They have worked on my house many times, anything from replacing doorknobs and electrical outlets to full scale rehab projects. Dewayne Jiles, the owner, has become a trusted friend and advisor over the years, and has creative solutions for many problems. When the contractor replacing the floor in our basement disappeared after 9/11, Dewayne tracked him down and made him come back and finish our project (the contractor, a veteran, had run to the Pentagon to help there.) Dewayne has a very extensive database of contractors, so he can find someone to fix almost any problem in your house. I can't recommend him enough.
