Recently I and my neighbors initiated a multi-year conservation landscaping project with a grant from the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to address runoff issues. The on the ground work for this project is being carried out by Alma Verde, a landscaping firm that specializes in sustainable gardening (see http://www.almaverdegardening.com), and we couldn't be happier. In fact, if there was an evaluation level higher than "Superior" I would have absolutely reservations recommending this firm. AlmaVerde is the creation of Adriana Delgado who is an absolute delight to work with. Ms. Delgado has degrees in Agronomy and Environment and Natural Resources Management, and was formerly with the International Development Bank. She is also a Certified Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional (CBLP), a Volunteer Master Gardener and Master Naturalist. Notwithstanding her impressive credentials, Ms. Delgado is very hands-on working alongside her crew, and we couldn't be happier. Ms. Delgado and her staff are clearly all dedicated to improving the environment and have been carrying out the project meticulously and with great professionalism. She has also generously taken time to advise individual neighbors on landscaping challenges.
