I cannot say enough good stuff about Brewer and Marshall. I have been wearing glasses for 60 years and I cannot remember any place that had better service. Over the past 25 of those years going for new glasses has been horrific. One snow job after another to cover or validate their extreme prices. $700 for a pair of sunglasses? They pretend to care, be friendly, joke around.
Not so for the folks over at Brewer and Marshall. They really DO care! No BS. They want their customers to be satisfied and for a good price. I got no song and dance from them, just real authentic concern.
If you are looking for a place to park your future years in corrective vision, go to these guys. If you are looking for a spiffy office space, go to Ikea.

I am very happy to have found a good optician close to home.

I showed optician the bifocal position line of my old glasses, and said that I wanted the new glasses to have the same position. He measured my eyes while wearing the new frames. 6 days later the glasses were ready: the bifocal line was about 1/4 inch higher than my old, and useless as bifocals. Staff first said that they would adjust glasses: she ground down the nose ridge of the plastic frames, which made the problem worse, not better. I requested new lenses, and she measured my eyes again. The replacement lenses were fine, except that I can't see distance as well in my left eye as with old glasses. (I haven't yet checked whether the problem was with Costco prescription or lenses.) Grinding down frame nose ridge caused another problem: my lenses fog up in winter because there is no gap between the top of frame and my eyebrow. These are my only glasses that have had this problem.
