Sergio and his crew did an outstanding job with a complete rebuild of our chimney. Up front, he consulted with us about repair v. replace, gave us a variety of color options, and explained in detail how the work would progress, and how long the process would take. He and his crew were friendly and industrious, and they kept the entire work area safe and well-managed. The chimney looks fantastic and pretty much indestructible. We absolutely recommend Community Chimney.

Sergio Funes (owner) and his crew of two did extensive work on our upstairs and downstairs fireplace chimneys/flues, as well as our furnace and hot water heater chimney/flue. Of note, our house was built in 1934. For each of the fireplace chimneys/flues, the work included removing the original tera cotta clay tile liners, installing new stainless steel liners, insulating the chimneys with vermiculite, cleaning/parging/sealing the smoke chambers with high heat resistant cement, installing new tile caps at the top of the chimneys with new top closing dampers including rain/animal guards on top of the new tile caps, and replacing the concrete crowns at the top of the chimneys. In addition, for the upstairs fireplace, the stone base/floor of the fireplace was repaired, several bricks on the sides of the fireplace were replaced, and several cracks on the sides of the fireplace were sealed. The exterior of the stone front chimneys was power washed to remove dirt and algae build-up, and a waterproof sealer was applied. For the furnace and hot water chimney/flue, the work included removing the existing aluminum flue liner and replacing it with a stainless steel liner, insulating the chimney with vermiculite, adjusting/replacing the connecting pipes from the hot water heater to the new liner, sealing the opening in the wall around the new liner, installing a new round cap with rain/animal guard at the top of the chimney, and replacing the concrete crown at the top of the chimney. Sergio's crew also removed and reset several original bricks on the exterior sides of the front door. The work took three (3) full days. Sergio and his crew were extremely impressive, as they were always very prompt and exhibited superior knowledge/expertise throughout the process which went smoothly from start to finish. In addition to high quality work, and neatness of work (cleaning up afterwards), Sergio's price quote/estimate was 30% LOWER than the other quote we received from a highly rated company on Consumers' Checkbook. In summary, I cannot recommend Community Chimney HIGHLY ENOUGH!! They truly do OUTSTANDING chimney and stone masonry repairs at VERY COMPETITIVE prices! Anyone needing chimney/stone masonry repairs should definitely consider Community Chimney.

I got 3 quotes to repair chimney and install a flue. This was the lowest bid. Sergio and his crew arrived on time and cleaned up after completing the work. I am very pleased with this company and will definitely use them again.
