About 6-8 years ago I went with another highly rated chimney company to repoint my chimney and redo the cap. They told me they (the other company) use a synthetic material that was stronger than concrete or mortar. Well, that has not been my experience. The synthetic stuff started flaking off and showing wear within two years. Very disappointed, so a friend recommended Community Chimney. They won rave reviews on their local neighborhood message board. I concur. I have used them on several houses and the quality of their work is the best. And their ability to match the old mortar color is excellent. Their brick work is unbelievably good. My only wish is that they would come out to Virginia more regularly; they seem to do the bulk of their work in Maryland.

I called and set up an appointment; they did not show on the date and time agreed. When I called to see what was going on, they wouldn't accept my phone call or return messages.
