On Porcelanosa's list of contractors, Silas Remodeling LLC was the only one reported as trained at the Porcelanosa headquarters in Spain. For that reason, I chose Silas to be my contractor to remodel 2 full bathrooms in my DC co-op apartment, and Porcelanosa staff facilitated Siles' engagement, but Porcelanosa refused to accept any accountability for the multiple failures of the contractor and even refused to take back and reimburse me for Porcelanosa products that I purchased for the project when Siles ultimately failed to complete it. Among the many disappointments of my 9 month effort to complete this project, (a) Siles twice stopped work and requested payments in advance of the schedule, but failed to resume work for extended periods after I gave them the advances; (b) Siles repeatedly requested reimbursement for supplies that I had paid Porcelanosa directly for and that Siles picked up from the Porcelanosa warehouse after weeks of notices from Porcelanosa that the products were ready for pick up; (c) for months, Mr. Ricardo Siles would come to the apartment on nights and weekend to do a little work and then leave without correcting minor mistakes like connecting hot and cold faucets oppositely; (d) Mr. Siles refused to install wall tiles on the plan that had been designed by Porcelanosa for its products.

Took 6 months to remodel a small bathroom, with no structural changes! Worked one day, came back a week later to work another day etc. I kept having to call and ask when someone would come to work. They’re very good at making excuses!!! The last straw was a huge leak developing in the ceiling under the toilet a year after the work was finished. Turns out they had not bothered to buy the correct size pipes to join the old to the new toilet. They just glued the pipes together. So of course, over time the glue failed, the toilet leaked, and I had to get a different contractor to fix the mess! I wouldn’t let them back into my house under any circumstances!
