At times we've bought budget level carpet elsewhere, but whenever we want a quality carpet with expert installation, we've learned we can totally rely on Hopkins Carpet One!

I was there three times. The first two times were to get carpet samples. The first time I went in, a woman asked two gentlemen if they could help me. Both made excuses and said they couldn’t. The woman grudgingly asked if she could help me. As she was showing me some carpet samples, she suddenly informed me that they closed at 5:00. It was 4:30. (I worked retail for 15 years. I understand her wanting to get out on time, but it’s not good customer service to make the consumer feel rushed. I had planned to return if time ran out during the consultation.) I ended up leaving with 15-20 minutes to spare. Before I left. I was told to return the samples within two days. Given that it was late in the day, it meant I only really had it one full day. Maybe that is the standard, but it didn’t give me much time, especially since I was not close to the store. The next time I went was two days later. I dropped off the samples and wanted to get a couple more. The woman was talking to an elderly couple. She was very pleasant to them and engaged them in casual conversation. She then began entering information into her computer as they began to look around the store. She looked at me and said, “You’ll have to wait.” Not “I‘ll be with you in a moment,” or “I’m sorry. I’ll be with you as soon as I can.” When I told her I wanted to find some more samples, she said, “ You know where to look.” I found a few other samples and began to wait to check them out. A gentleman finally offered to help me with that. When I went back to drop off the last samples, the woman greeted me as I walked in. Not once in all the times we talked did she smile or make any positive remarks. She never told me about the different types of carpet or really gave me much information about carpets. I felt as though I was someone she had to deal with rather than a valued customer. I finally dropped off the samples and told her that it just wasn’t working out. I plan to replace the carpet in six rooms in my house and carpet my steps. They will not get my business nor any recommendations.

I needed indoor/outcarpet, and they were willing to cut the carpet to my exact specifications at the store. I did not need to have them install it for me.
