I think the address on this is wrong; I used Nelson based out of Saint Paul. Very pleased with Nelson's work on a complete exterior renovation of my 1920 Saint Paul house over summer 2021. I sourced multiple bids, checked multiple references etc. Nelson's proposal was, by far, the most detailed one I got and their references were best. Despite the pandemic, supply chain, and a few ugly 'surprises' hidden by previous owners, we came in pretty close to budget - less than 10% over the estimate, which is very good for an old house that hasn't been taken care of by the previous owners and was in need of major repairs. Here's everything I had done: refinished and patched the stucco which was damaged, cracked and had peeling paint - got the acrylic finish which looks like a million buck and hasn't cracked once despite going through winter; replaced badly damaged brick facade on lower half of house with an engineered stone which is better for MN winters; replaced the roof and windows (I had a few original windows and many that didn't open), added gutters, replaced trim. They also had to shore up the foundation of my porch (one of the surprises) and replace a giant rotten chunk of wall that had been hidden behind a radiator and the brick. The entire house is dramatically more energy efficient and less drafty, such that my heating bill is about the same as last year despite prices being up (I use less fuel now).
