My neighbor had J&B Roofing do their roof 10 years ago. I remember their roof being installed and my neighbor had nothing but good thing s to say about them. Now I was in the market for a new roof. I called a few companies for an estimate, J&B Roofing was hired for my Roof. I’m very happy with the company I selected. During the demo they discovered a few minor details, they didn’t charge me extra and explained how to handle the problem in the future if needed.

They did our roof about 2 years ago and now it leaks. They came back one time to try and fix it but it still leaks. We never had a leak prior to the new roof. It took them forever to install the gutters and did not do a good job meaning the water doesn't flow in the gutters properly. Staff is pleasant but I would not recommend them.

J & B provided one of the three bids I got for a roof repair. J & B actually bid me both for a repair and for an entire-roof replacement (which was not that much more expensive than the work I had to have done). The estimator and her assistant (brother, I think) properly estimated the condition of the roof and deck and gave me a bid on the spot (with a few options depending on materials I chose and the condition of the deck beneath the shingles). Their bid was the middle of the three I got but included better materials and technique so they were the lead bid. I also like that it's a family-run local business. I had to wait for a couple of other estimates, though, so I did not call them back for 3-4 weeks. By then I had a few questions about different materials and their installation technique. Unfortunately, two voicemails in about a week, at the number on their business card, went unreturned. Never heard from them again. I understand J & B is not the biggest company, but I was not comfortable spending thousands of dollars with a company I could not reach in a reasonable time.
