We've purchased both wall to wall carpeting and hardwood flooring on different occasions from Colonial, and have nothing but great things to say about their service. Brian, who runs the business as a second generation owner, knows his stuff and was able to articulately answer virtually any question we've had. The shop's carpet installers did an excellent job of measuring our rooms and getting everything to fit precisely. As to the hardwood flooring, we knew what we wanted (Brazilian cherry), but didn't realize that the manufacturer we had in mind was twice as expensive as another manufacturer -- and no one can tell the difference. Naturally, we opted to the less costly version. Best of all, since we had our own contractor for installation, Brian explained to him that he needed a specific glue to ensure proper fit, as this was engineered hardware being glued directly onto a concrete foundation. The glue was difficult to work with, but our contractor was glad for the advice, and the floor looks incredible.
