Recommend, with considerable reservation. The owner does boarding in her home as well as providing pet sitting and dog-walking services, and she seems familiar with dog behaviors However, we left out dog for boarding for a week and came back to find a subdued dog in hiding, with what we later realized was a bite wound in one of her ears. The owner recognized there was something wrong with the ear but didn't know what the injury was, and said the matted fur was from the antibacterial soap she was using to keep the wound clean. It shouldn't have been that hard for her to figure out that the injury was a dog bite. I'm totally not sure how the ear hair became so hard and matted. and yes we will visit the vet. Prior to this, our dog seemed happy enough to be there for daytime trials stays.
