I would stay clear of this company. I had wind damage which required completely replacing my interior townhouse siding including all the wooden framing. I have never been treated with the level of disrespect as I did from the owner/manager, Peter Vlantis but the worst was the shoddy workmanship and materials, complete dishonesty and actual damage they caused during installation. The Issues included: 1). Discovering one week after the work was completed, that they had severed the electrical wires to one of my outdoor electrical outlets. When I contacted Mr. Vlantis he informed me that I would need to file a new insurance claim (which would include being charged another homeowner insurance deductible). I contacted a general contractor that I had used for years to repair the damage. The GC corrected the problem and presented me wth a very reasonable bill (if I had hired an electrician, the bill would have been significantly higher). Since the finale payment had not yet been made to Nova, I informed Mr. Vlantis that I was forwarding the invoice to correct the damage they had caused to him for his records and I that would be deducting the amount I had to pay the GC from Nova's final payment. Mr. Vlantis informed me that he was going to sue me. He later stated he wasn't going to sue me at that moment but reserved the right to sue me in the future. 2). The bathroom fan vents installed for the bathrooms were so cheap and inferior, I discovered months later birds breached them and had begun building nests causing more damage. I then had to hire an additional contractor to fix the problem. 3) A year after completion, I discovered a piece of siding had been damaged and needed to be replaced. I pulled my copy of the contract with Nova to obtain the siding manufacturer's identifying information for the siding that had been installed and sent my GC to the outlet where the siding had been purchased by Nova. Upon the GC's return with the new piece of siding we discovered Nova had changed the siding I had originally ordered without ever informing me or amending the contract. I had to incur not only the cost of sending the GC to obtain the siding but the cost of the siding that couldn't be used. I now must be concerned that if additional siding needs to be replaced in the future, I have no way to identify the correct siding that wolud need to be purchased. 3). At the same time the work on the siding was being completed, I elected to purchase new gutters and spouts, not covered by the insurance claim, at my own expense. The sales rep, Sam said because they had had such a successful season, he would throw in, free of charge, free gutter screens. Months later I needed to have something looked at on my roof. The individual inspecting the roof, discovered that the gutter screens which I had been promised, were never installed. When I contacted Nova, Mr. Vllntis told me "too bad". Although there were a few other issues, I would strongly urge anybody considering doing business with this company seriously consider the consequences when hiring a group that is not only dishonest and ethically challenged, but that provides inferior products and workmanship.
