When the TCA cleaners arrived in March 2020 with no masks on, I terminated their contract. After I was vaccinated, I gave them another try in March 2021. They visited one time and we mutually parted ways. My experience on that one visit was as follows: In the email to the operations manager where I requested that service be resumed, I requested that both sides of my refrigerator be cleaned on their first visit. I repeated my request at the inspection to set the fee. Before their first visit, I received an email that the price had already been increased due to hourly minimum wage increases. I accepted the increase and requested a copy of the liability and workman's compensation certificates. Before their first visit, I realized that I had never received the insurance certificates. The operations manager had not tracked the delivery, but corrected the problem once informed. On the day of the first visit, the cleaning ladies had not been told of the need to clean the refrigerator. I spoke with the operations manager on the phone who for the first time mentioned that they no longer cleaned freezers. After some mention that the ladies were on a tight schedule, she instructed the ladies to clean the refrigerator side only. After the first cleaning, I discovered the following problems: All shelves and drawers in the refrigerator had been taken out and the unit reassembled incorrectly. Every shelf was installed at a different height. The bottom drawer has a flap (16 inches long and 3 inches wide) that was missing. After disassembling the entire refrigerator, we found the missing part tucked elsewhere in the refrigerator. I never had a cleaning lady attempt refrigerator disassembly/assemby. Usually, they just wipe down the shelves and remove the drawers one at a time so that the reassembly is trivial. In addition to the refrigerator, the printer would not print. A cable connection had been bumped and every connector had to be checked We spent almost 2 hours debugging problems from one visit. While the operations manager refunded some of the fee, we chose to part ways. In general, every cleaning service has the same negatives. They do not learn from visit to visit because the team membership frequently changes and only 1 team member speaks English. They will not get on ladders because their insurance does not cover it; you end up doing the spring cleaning yourself or hiring someone else. They are cleaning multiple homes/day and are on tight schedules. The only positive for a service is that the service carries insurance.
