Horizon Painting did an excellent job painting two interior rooms and the exteriors of our house and shed. Owner Aldo Boci closely inspected the areas to be painted prior to providing very detailed estimates. For example, he showed us nail pops and ceiling cracks in the bedroom and bathroom that needed repair. In contrast, the estimators from two other companies quickly glanced around and said they would make repairs, without specifying what would be done. Mr. Bocis’s extensive knowledge of various paint types and finishes helped us select appropriate paints. The exterior painting proposal provided the option of upgrading the paint quality and replacing a few deteriorated boards on the shed doors, which we accepted. The crew was skilled, meticulous, quiet, and helpful. They exceeded our expectations. Mr. Boci asked if we would like to have the downspouts painted, with no additional charge. They also painted our mailbox at my request. Horizon’s estimates were far more specific and priced a little lower than the estimates from two other companies highly rated by Checkbook. Considering the quality of the work and the unexpected extra touches, we are certain Horizon provided excellent value. Communication was easy throughout the process. We will be happy to hire them again.

I highly recommend Horizon Painting Company in Falls Church, VA. Aldo and his crew did an excellent job on my project, which included both exterior carpentry repairs and painting. As an architect, I was particularly impressed by Aldo's knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to doing the job correctly. He understands the importance of proper surface preparation, caulking, and other details that are often overlooked but make a significant difference in the quality and longevity of the finished work. One feature that sets Horizon apart is that their proposals include unit pricing for additional carpentry work, such as replacing rotten wood. This approach provides transparency and helps avoid disputes over change orders if unforeseen conditions are discovered during the project. My only recommendation to future customers is to work with Horizon to identify as much rotten or damaged wood as possible before the project begins. Doing so can help ensure a more accurate initial proposal and minimize surprises along the way. Overall, Horizon Painting delivered high-quality workmanship, professionalism, and excellent customer service. I would not hesitate to hire Aldo and his team again for future projects.

Due to insect infiltration last year, we needed an early start to exterior painting our cedar siding house this Spring. Their bid was competitive and the most thorough proposal I've seen from a contractor in years. Despite bad weather and restrictive HOA rules, as well as excessive, unforseen rotten siding and trim on the house, Horizon's workers and owner went above and beyond, doing a professional job of carpentry and painting to get the work completed as soon as possible given the circumstances; pricing was fair and honest, and the finished painting just sparkles.
