We have used Deehan Lawn Service for a few years. They are not the cheapest around, but the quality is excellent. The owner always keeps us up to date about changes due to weather. Also, he is always available by email or phone.

Bottom line up front: A+! Excellent in all areas. Deehan Landscaping did a terrific job on my townhouse back yard. I am so pleased with their work on my (now) beautiful back yard, we are proceeding with a front yard project for lighting enhancement and estimating lighting work for the back yard. Originally hired them this mid-summer for cleaning out my overgrown, depressing-looking mess of a yard when I was ill and could not tackle it. I was mortified any time my neighbors had company over and were entertaining on their decks. After researching several landscaping firms initially just to see what was out there and reading favorable views on Deehan and on Cate, my Deehan landscape designer, I asked for a yard clean up, landscaping assessment and quotes. Cate was the designer and project manager, she is very personable, knowledgeable, and professional. After discussion with Cate, decided to proceed. Deehan's Landscaping teams throughout this project also very pleasant, great work ethic, attention to detail. Wanted to keep my budget under $10K, which was well done. Got a lot of "bang" for the buck, including discovery of a serious drainage issue that had recently been causing me some concern, but I had not known cause or extent of the issue. My backyard landscaping was completed today, and a fix for drainage issues. I absolutely love Deehan's work! Details: per Cate's design, after late summer yard clean up, Deehan stonemasons came in and did a fantasic job on rejuvenating and greatly improving the flow of the low stone walls in the garden. That alone was such a beautiful difference! As plantings needed to be done in the fall, the preparation of drip lines for irrigation and overall set up of a charming rock channel and plant placement/installation was next. The drainage issues were, unfortunately for me, "discovery learning". Have had a mosquito problem every summer but particularly so this summer w/ the substantial rains but was perplexed as to the issue of dampness somewhere in my yard. The Deehan landscaping team discovered a very poorly done french drain, partially buried mismatched pvc line (4" to 3" line just very loosely laid together) and deteriorated/holes in the line! I would have never found it or likely even known what I was looking at to fix it correctly. Also thought my gutters did not need seasonal cleaning this year as neighbors had cut down some big trees--my mistake. A contributing problem was the huge amount of leaf debris plugging the end of my guttering into the pvc pipe, in a very difficult to  access area behind air handlers, so to my embarrassment that was another contributing issue to the substandard drainage. Can't praise Deehan team's efforts enough to get after this unexpected issue and get it right. That alone was a great relief to get that fixed! The yard's completed design is so beautiful and I am delighted with my back yard! The team was very careful in safety coning the sidewalk parking and cleaning from the truck parking to the finished "courtyard" area of my yard, so my fussy HOA did not have any issues. Deehan even carefully raked an entrance area to my yard that had become pretty muddy (but has always been a sparsely grassed area) and put down grass seed. I was impressed with the team's care and professionalism throughout! I did initially have to wait a little to get a call back about the yard clean up project, so that is something you may have to follow up on and Deehan could look at improving. A minor point compared to the results but certainly glad I was persistent, so glad my yard is truly transformed and beautiful! I learned flexibility with the timing of a landscaping project is key, and I had to be patient. Work schedule and your project timing will move up or be set back, weather dependent. This is a small residential landscaping firm, and has a weather/seasonal work load so recommend you are flexible with timing of what can be done/when, and check your personal email for changes.
