My primary use of this store is to order online for pickup. Most of my order is for packaged products with limited purchases of fresh produce. This process works great.

I spend my grocery money at several different grocery stores in Shoreline & also sometimes use outlets in Lynnwood & Bothell. My primary motivators are price & availability of the specific products I want, including good organic produce & multiple gluten-free products. I would say the Fred Meyer outlets get the biggest portion of my grocery purchases with Trader Joe's & two online-only options (Vitacost & iHerb) close behind. Even with the general increase in prices during & post-Covid, I don't find their regular prices as bad as most other stores, although others might disagree based on what they buy. With mailed coupons specific to me, the once monthly 10% senior discount on Kroger brands, & ad prices, I feel I do well with overall cost there. It's also often convenient that they sell such a variety of non-food items as well, especially in the larger Lynnwood stores. I do buy plants there every season. I find their grocery shelves to be generally well-stocked, but I see wide-spread outages in health & beauty aids quite frequently. I don't utilize delivery or pick-up. I do use pick-up at stores where the online prices are less than the in-store ones which I think is an outrageous practice. There are for sure things that drive me crazy at FM & other stores like the 'Mix & Match have to buy 5 to get the lowest ad price' deals. I do buy fish there, but not meat. The produce selection is not huge, but they do have most of the organic items I want, and for some reason their apples are better & stay good longer in the fridge than multiple other places. Speed at the customer service counter can be horrendous when you need it.

While I find the store superior in most regards, I've lately been irritated to find an item that used to be on the shelf is now available only if you buy it for delivery, incurring a charge. For example, my favorite Progresso soup has been squirreled away in delivery-only purgatory.
