In 2026 management has unwisely decided to cut costs by eliminating the PCC Deli. No more freshly prepared foods. Shoppers instead encounter rows of pint tubs of spoiling food with the expiration dates on many marked today or tomorrow. This does not work for families shopping weekly and stocking up. Meat, cheese, and fish counters also appear to be underattended during the day at Bellevue and Issaquah locations. When asked, the staff have told us the Deli is "never coming back". Friendliness is markedly absent in 2025-26. No one at these locations has ever offered "Help with Bags to Car". Variety of other items is limited. Quality has fallen. Last year we noted reliable brands such as Annie's Greek yogurt were not stocked, clearly spoiled peaches, rotting berries offered for sale, bitter tasting table grapes, reduced size bell peppers and oranges. We are beginning to look elsewhere for groceries.

I mostly go for the produce. Some of the prices here are higher, but the quality is also higher. They can actually be cheaper than regular grocery stores for high-end items. For example their wild rice was cheaper for the same amount. Also they have a bulk food section.

PCC is the second most expensive place in the region to shop for groceries, Metropolitan Market being the most. Layout of the Issaquah store is terrible with its weirdly aligned, narrow aisles. Some items are a challenge to find. For example, cheeses could be in the deli or one of two end-caps. Bagels are not in the bread section or bakery. The deli is great, and busy. Produce is excellent with some harder-to-find items. I used to enjoy taking cooking classes, but they haven't offered them in a while.
