I had Jeff from The Garage Door Guys and another company inspect my two doors. The other company only wanted to sell me a new opener. Jeff examined everything and created a repair list. I needed: 1) balanced doors, 2) the large door to roll up completely past the frame without drifting down, 3) a new shaft-drive opener mounted at the spring tube. He immediately spotted a failing steel bracket on the spring tube—a dangerous situation—and fixed it on the spot at no charge. He also lubed the opener track, balanced the springs, and ensured everything was safe. Jeff was the first to calculate spring specifications. Unsurprisingly, I had wrong springs, causing the 10" drift. We agreed to replace both springs and tube. He lubed hinges, installed the new opener, removed the old one, and balanced the door. The doors now open and close perfectly and the large door stays up. I smile everyday I open the large door at how quietly and smoothly it rolls up. Jeff's commitment to doing it right the first time is outstanding and I can't recommend him enough!
