They don't exist anymore. I know there's not a lot of competition in this area, like there used to be. But, can we please remove Fry's? Thank you.

Frys is a shadow of its former self. Inventory is almost zero, and the stores are deserted. It is sad to see the change from their glory days as a key part of Silicon Valley.

Fry's is known for restocking returned goods without testing them, labeling the opened packages "refurbished." They refuse to do standard computer store chores like updating long-outdated motherboard BIOS before sale. (They sold me a motherboard+CPU sale combination and the BIOS was so out of date it wouldn't recognize the CPU they sold it with, and refused to make good.) Widely rumored in the valley to sell "bottom bin" hard drives rejected by other retailers and enterprise vendors. Stay away unless you really know what you're doing.
