We contracted Claks Pools for an inground fiberglass installation 16 x 40 based on the stellar reviews. However, our experience was hardly satisfactory. The agreement was signed on the 2nd of March 2026. After 4 months, the photos show the state of the construction. According to Clarks, this is the normal standard of work that they deliver. As you can see: 1. The area around the pool is "machine graded" as per the contract. My understanding at least from the initial verbal assurances was that this would end as a 1 by 3 slope. As you can see, there is leftover stone and debris which Clarke claims they are not responsible for 2. The sides of the pool are warped. Clarkes assures us that this will be fixed when the pool cover is installed. They cannot provide a specific date. 3. Piles of excavated material is left over, even though the contract specifies that excavated material should be removed. 4. The outside grill for the Heat Pump unit that Clarks installed is damaged. This might indicate that the unit was dropped or bumped during the installation. 5. Clarkes insists that all approvals regarding permits are my responsibility. I can't even get a complete list of inspections that were done or comleted. So after spending 120 K, I do have a plastic tub in the backyard. Not quite what I expected. The good part is the the folks were really quite pleasant up until the contract was signed.
