I had water leaking from the ceiling in my kitchen, discovered it around 6:30 pm (most places were understandably closed). I left messages for Fred & Son and another plumber, and Fred & Son got back to me quicker, so we booked them to come the next day. First, Fred is a stand up guy. Very, very nice, and very skilled at his trade. He found the issue, fixed it, and did some other work for us to while he was here. Was it expensive? I don't know, I really didn't have time to compare prices, but it was reasonable enough that we gave the green light. Everything is finally dried out, and now I'm trying to find someone to the drywall repair! Fred is great, I would not hesitate to hire him again.

I had three drywall areas of concern, was hearing water running in the walls, and had a very high water bill this winter, so I was concerned I had a leak. Fred & Son came to the house in a few hours(!) (I got lucky and they had a cancellation, but they were planning to come within a day anyway). Joe looked at all the spots and heard all my concerns, asking me a lot of follow-up questions. Based on his assessment, he did not think I have any leaks (yay!) and provided explanations of what is likely happening and could not be happening. It is a relief to know I don't have to worry about any plumbing leaks (although I do have a little issue with the roof, which I already knew I need to replace this year). He was pleasant and personable and did not try to sell me anything I don't need. Cost to come to house and do the assessment was $100 (I was expecting higher based on reviews of other plumbers I read on Checkbook).
