Stopped in looking for a bluetooth speaker. They immediately pushed us toward the JBLs. They previously sold us the smallest of the three JBL bluetooth speakers a little more than a year ago and we've had trouble with it. It seems that they've had a chronic problem with the jack built into the speaker for charging it. It was out of warranty so we paid a local guy to replace the jack. This time they pushed us toward the largest of the JBL speakers. After our prior experience, we checked on this latest recommendation to find that they're known for having problems with the internal batteries failing and they have a known issue with the sound volume fading in for the first second of each track, which is annoying when the track's supposed to have a strong introduction. It might have been coincidental, but the music they played to demo the speaker for us built up from a low volume, which kept us from hearing the issue. We did not buy this second speaker from them and, from our perspective this now is the second time they've given us bad advice. They might be the best sounding speakers. But where's the value if the thing's fail shortly after the warranty period?
