Have had a horrid experience with this company. Went with them based on this publication but it turns out they did not meet reasonable expectations. I read your articles but still didn't know the exact names for certain items or what to request in writing. 1. They were not replacing the slate roof, just the flat portion. We talked about the leaks coming from the area where flat & slate roof met, but when the work was done, there were no caps over that area. I had to pay extra for 'caulking' the areas. 2. There is no facia on the front porch where gutters were to be replaces. They ignored that issue and put the gutters up incorrectly. They have sagged and leaked. The leaking was repaired at least 4 times but never stopped leaking. That was over a 4 month period. 3. The downspout was made from PVC plumbing pipe and looked awful. It finally fell down. Earl said he would contract with a gutter installer and pay for new gutters. That was 6 weeks ago and nothing has been done since despite repeated calls. I will update this review if something changes.

I have been using Clarence Smith Roofing for over 20 years for all my roofing work. Wouldn't think about using anyone else. Many of neighbors use this company as well . Highly recommend !
