I purchased a Condo, in the fall of 2017, and the previous owners used Jim Murray to do the service. Actually their Real Estate Agent hired him. This was part of the agreement, to be done, before the settlement. They gave me the paper work, from Murray. According to the document, fireplace was cleaned, and all was okay. Three months after I moved in, the neighbor lit a fire, in his fireplace. My entire Condo was filled with smoke. The chimney serves four owners. This was not stated on the bill. However, this was not the issue. I called Jim Murray, and he did return my call. I told him what happened. He gave me the run around, and did not offer to fix the problem nor come out to check it. I ended up calling another company, and they came out, and told me the problem. They used a "scope," and showed me where the mortar joints were missing. They were great, but the service cost me $200. The bigger issue is - it will cost a GREAT deal - to have fixed. If I had known this - in advance - there would have been a negotiation on this point.
