This company built a screened in deck for us. Shortly after the work was completed, the two electric outlets on the deck stopped working and a leak appeared where the deck roof met the current house roof. It took many, many calls to Ricardo, the owner, before he finally sent someone to make the necessary repairs. In addition, a small door built into the bottom of the deck (to get into the area under the deck), was not completed properly, and can't even be opened. Ricardo has broken at least half-a-dozen appointments to come to repair the door. All of that, when the cost of the deck was substantial. On the other hand, Randy, the deck designer, was very good to work with.

I needed to replace an old deck and stairs and got 3 estimates. I chose Deck Builders as they provided all the features I wanted at a competitive price. Some deck builders do not want to use footings above grade which I believe is the better way to go. Work started quickly and took 6 days during the hottest week in DC recorded weather history. The crew worked diligently in a professional manner. The new deck looks fantastic and is well-built. Features available today for decks are more numerous than they were when my original deck was built including: composite materials, color choices for railing systems, and lighting options. Highly recommended.
