We used this company a decade ago for outdoor handrails, and they were adequate. Last year, we came back for a big job -- $12,000 worth of decorative balcony guardrails and handrails. We had a specific idea in mind for the decorative insets, including a digital drawing. I made it abundantly clear to the owner that (a) all the design elements should be at a 45° angle, and (b) that he should contact me to examine the work during layup, before welding, to be sure it was what I wanted. Eight weeks went by, during which the owner's only communication was to receive progress payments. He sounded pretty urgent, as though he was having a tough time making payroll. Then I get a call saying "your railing is done, painted, and we're ready to install it." They installed it. It was ... very much not what we had in mind. And they did not adequately protect the floors from the in-place welding, so our fir floor now has a 1/4" burn hole, and the oak floor 10 feet below has a spray of burn marks. I spent another $12k to have a different shop in Yakima do the work, and they did it very well. If you need basic outdoor work, maybe Estate is fine, but don't let them inside.

I had a handrail constructed (from my photos) and installed. The railing conformed well to the photos I provided. The workmanship is excellent: the welds are neat and the handrail is nicely tapered where it meets the stanchions. Equally impressive was Thor who framed and installed the railing. He was unusually picky down to painting the heads of the screws to match the color of the railing. It's an objet d'art. First class all the way.

Estate Iron Works put in a long handrail up our outdoors stairs as well as putting non-slip metal treads on those stairs. They also installed a metal railing on our indoor stairs. On all jobs, they were great. They were prompt and fair and did what they said they would do. They were polite and left the work site in good condition. They wore masks (during the pandemic). The quality of the work was excellent. No complaints. We recommend them.
