Karma Beauty Bar represents themselves as an Aveda Concept Salon, however they are frequently out of the actual Aveda color products and have substituted Wella and Joico several times although that is against the Aveda policy. The owner of the salon, Sydney is unfortunately not knowledgeable about current procedures and has messed up hair multiple times. I used another stylist, Reghan who actually left to go another Aveda salon (Chroma Salon in Lynnwood), and I followed her to this salon because she did an awesome job on my hair. The owner also gossips continually about her employees when they aren't in the salon, discussing personal & private matters regarding her employees to clients. I was really surprised to hear Sydney discuss details about one of her employees who has an unfaithful boyfriend, as well as her own personal & private previous relationship problems, etc. Her behavior is not professional or emotionally mature as a salon owner, she seems to act like a junior high teen who cannot understand how to behave as an adult. Needless to say, I will never return to Karma Beauty Bar due to the poor service I received from the salon owner, the lack of proper Aveda products, as well as the inappropriate discussions that take place in the salon.
