Jack was honest and detailed in discussing what was needed for my complete re-roofing job. Can't say that for other companies that gave estimates! He estimated for what was needed, and for what might be needed, and provided details about how the work would be done. His estimate was the lowest and close to others. On the work day, he and the crew showed up early (late fall, days getting short) and the entire roof was done, cleanup done, and all leaving by early afternoon. Welsh's website was more helpful for preparation than others as well. It was a good idea to remove items from walls and shelves. They put down huge tarps all around the house to catch debris from removal of the old shingles, nails, etc. They picked up nearly every nail. I've only found a few, and it would be impossible for them to find every single one. They did an impressive job of it. Yes, I'd hire them again.

Welsh Roofing did an excellent job replacing our roof and a skylight. They did extra work too, cleaning another skylight. They cleaned up the surrounding yard very well after the work. Overall, we highly recommend them.

Welsh's price was very competitive with the lowest price estimate I had received from other roofing contractors, although one of the reasons I went with Welsh (besides their excellent Consumer's Checkbook ratings) was because of the detailed questions and comments that Jack Welsh had provided the day he arrived to provide an estimate. First, he got up on the roof (even though it was drizzling), noted both the existing sky lights and attic fan on the back side of the house, and was the only contractor to inquire about both elements before preparing his cost estimate. He also communicated well in keeping me informed of the installation date (which took a few weeks because of other work on the schedule). I was extremely happy with the work and the result, and would recommend them to others.
