Dr. Hollifield and her staff couldn't have done a better job taking care of an emergency with our pet pig. My wife and I were on vacation out of the country and we received a panic call from our daughter telling us that an abscess on our pet pig's neck, which we had scheduled to have removed when we returned, had ruptured. Our daughter was having trouble getting the pig loaded into the car to bring him to Best Friend's Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Hollifield arranged with her husband to drive out to our house to pick up the pig. Fortunately, that ended up not being necessary, but they took in the pig, operated on the abscess, and kept the pig at the hospital for 10 days to be sure the abscess drained and healed properly. I can's say enought good things about the care and compassion provided by Best Friend's Veterinary Hospital

I took my pet rats to Dr. Hollifield for about 6 months. Although the doctor seems knowledgable, the prices are exorbitant--upwards of $500 for surgery on a little rat. After receiving an insane quote to treat a rat with an infected leg, I took him to another vet amid dire warnings that doing so would be dangerous. The other vet suggested that the expensive treatments recommended were unnecessary, and successfully treated my little guy for a fraction of the price.

This was for a hamster. Minor surgery on a small animal was good.
