The service at the shop was very good. The scheduler could tell you the price of the analysis when you are not sure what the problem is.

When going there for a simple front brake job, I waited 2 hours just to get the estimate of 10 other items that “were important to fix now.” One of the items they included was the rear brakes (rotors and pads) which they had just replaced six months prior. Upon my questioning, they decided those were ok after all. After using this dealer for 20+ years, they have now lost my trust. None of the items on their list needed to be addressed according to another mechanic. It was a money-making sham. Sad because I used to trust them.

I ordered a replacement tailgate latch assembly for a 2007 Honda Ridgeline truck from Sheehy Honda. After it arrived, I made an appointment to have the rear tailgate latch repaired. I took the truck to the dealer and waited for them to do the work. However, about an hour later, the service adviser told me that they could not do the work after all because their shop said that they do not do that type of work and that I had to find a body shop to do the repair. The service adviser appeared to embarrassed. To his credit, he did let me use his phone (since I do not have a cell phone) to call around to try to figure out how to get the tailgate latch repaired. Eventually, I found relevant shop manual instructions for replacing the latch assembly and did the repair in my driveway with common tools in about an hour. What a lame excuse they gave me. I suspect that since this latch mechanism has had a history of malfunction in Honda Ridgelines they simply didn't want to deal with the potential hassle since the truck was out of warranty.
