The recommendations for the work I received from Mike Hine and Hine Home Improvement go to the beginnings of two bathroom retiling projects done at my home by this fine business. 1.) Mike reviewed the selections I had considered for tiling materials and was able to offer some alternatives which created a better final appearance. There was much attention paid to some of the smaller details in accents and contrasts which helped the whole project "pop" and really stand out well. 2.) Quality of work was excellent in all respects, again focusing on using the best materials for each part of the project. 3.) Communication was effective and valued if there was any point that was unclear for my plans. Additionally, Mike provided lots of hints on how to keep his workmanship looking good in regular use that bathrooms receive. From the choice of materials, their design and installation to the after-build care, Mike Hine and Hine Home Improvement has shown complete skill with professional workmanship. I Whole Heartily recommend this craftsman.

I highly recommend Mike Hine of Hine Home Improvement, Inc. I only wish I had asked him to serve as the general contractor and manage my entire bathroom renovation. He demolished the bathroom except for the tub, and installed the new tiles which I had purchased on the floor and on the wall surrounding the tub over new cement backerboard. He laid the floor tile on the diagonal and it’s completely symmetrical. It looks fabulous. So that’s the big picture, but it’s often the little things that count for a satisfied customer. (1) Grout: I had planned to use antique white grout in between the tiles; Mike advised me to use a slightly darker tone that blends with the tile instead of contrasting against it. (2) Timeliness: Mike started the project on December 28th, the Monday after Christmas. He worked through the New Year’s holiday, and completed the job on Saturday, January 2nd. (3) No disruption to family activities: Mike cleaned up after himself, and ensured that the drywall dust during demolition was contained; it did not spread throughout the house as I was concerned it might. Overall, I’d highly recommend Mike Hine, particularly for bathroom or kitchen tiling projects. He’s an expert craftsman.
