J & M Tile Renovation did an excellent job of renovating a 1989 bathroom by bringing it up-to-date. They were very competitive price-wise and did an excellent job on the tile work and other bits and bobs (installing new tub, glass doors, faucets etc.) The work was completed exactly as they promised - within one week. Bathroom looks like a show piece.

I'm recommending this company with some reservations. The owner was super friendly, very prompt and responsive, etc. I had to change the work date a few times, so I appreciate his willingness to be flexible. The person in the office was also helpful in terms of dispatch, service updates, etc. However, the people who came to do the job, while friendly, were not the best. They left while I went to get the tiles for the job, and I didn't know why. I called the office, which told me they'd had to go help on another job and would be back later. I'd taken the day off for this and didn't want to hear that! They did come back. I hadn't understood that they'd be using different materials than I'd thought - miscommunication on both ends. They asked me if I had extra grout mix at one point...um, no, that's one of the things that was supposed to be included. So they left and came back with that. The tiles were cut in an odd way and so look a bit unfinished once set. The owner did come over to look at knocked the price down a bit for what he acknowledged were some issues. Admittedly, ours was a small job, but I wish we could get great service for even small projects! My advice - be VERY SPECIFIC about what you're having done, and stay home to watch the work.
