Dr. Sim is thorough and caring in her exams to measure eye health and vision needs. Her front desk staff Kathye and Jennifer are miracle workers when it comes to fine tuning fit on frames and have excellent taste when it comes to color and frame shape. I

Great doctor and optician - always correct RX and they are flexible about meeting your needs on frames (such as reusing existing pairs.). The best!

I started buying my frames and lenses annually at Walnut Square (WSO) in 2017. I was very pleased with the selection and quality of frames and the very helpful and competent staff. That was before the pandemic. When I bought new frames and lenses in late 2021, nearly all of the support staff seemed to be new and most didn't really know what they were doing. After suffering headaches with my new glasses, I visited my optometrist (whose practice isn't at Walnut Square) and learned that the lenses had been ground incorrectly -- they didn't match the prescription. That was probably the fault of the outside lab but WSO should have checked the glasses before dispensing them to me. Despite promises that it would take less than 1-2 weeks for the replacement glasses, I waited more than a month. Worse, they didn't keep me informed -- I phoned several times to check the status of the replacements and each time was promised a callback that never came. I found out that the replacements had finally arrived because I happened to phone WSO that day. But then it turned out that WSO had lost my frames and had to order new ones. Everyone was polite and friendly throughout this ordeal, but what I really wanted was the competence I'd observed pre-pandemic. Maybe their new staff will be up to speed soon but I'm going elsewhere for now.
