Called in by our plumber when a flooded floor was discovered under the water heater. I neglected to ask, but got the impression they wouldn't rip up the floor tiles for us. Once we'd removed the tiles, they brought in a dehumidifier. Since the flooded floor was accessed through our tenant's living room, we especially appreciated that these techs worked efficiently, and were pleasant and respectful throughout.

At 8 PM in the middle of one of the worst Bay Area storms in many years, I discovered my basement was flooded, threatening the hot water heater and furnace. Every service I called was flooded (sorry, bad pun) with emergency calls but ESA, who had a technician on site in about 3 hours, had a pump up and running in about 15 minutes and left it overnight. Cost $900. I can't find any information on what to expect for this service, but when it's the only service that responds during a storm on a Saturday night and it saves an $8000 furnace, it seems reasonable to me.
