Patio concrete started showing cracks within weeks of the pour across several surface areas, not on the expansion joints. One edge not finished smoothly. When the owner came out to address the cracking he professed that it was normal to crack. We have a large driveway that was installed maybe 8 years ago and not a crack anywhere. I'm not sure why it cracked so soon, but don't think it should have cracked.
